Reidus Johnson Sr.

Reidus E. Johnson Sr., age 74 of Minto, ND, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.

Reidus Johnson was born January 26, 1943 in Newport, AK, the son of the late John and Pearly (Flowers) Johnson. He grew up and attended school in Newport. Following his education, he started long distance trucking which he did for 20 years. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Hutson on June 25, 1964 in Arkansas and later to Bonnie Mix on January 18, 1978 in Newport. The couple made their home there until moving to Minto in 1980. He started farming in 1982 and in 1996 the couple moved to Crookston, MN and he began working for New Flyer. He retired in 2001 and the couple moved back to Minto.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Grafton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Reidus is survived by his wife, Bonnie Johnson, Minto, ND, children: Rhonda (Ranulfo) Moreno, AK, Connie (Lyle) Fuglestad, Minto, ND, Reidus (Tina Lien) Johnson Jr., Minto, ND, Michael Johnson, KY, Lonnie (Stephanie Powell) Johnson, Fargo, ND and William (Ann Kopecky) Johnson, Crookston, MN, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda Lewellen and brothers: James Elmer Johnson and Lonnie Johnson.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Assembly of God Church in Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Grafton City Cemetery.
