Regan G. Gourde, age 65 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Valley Eldercare Center of Grand Forks, ND.
Regan G. Gourde was born October 3, 1953 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Jeffrey and Margaret (Sevigny) Gourde. He attended elementary school in Oakwood, ND and graduated from Grafton High School in 1971. Regan enlisted in the United States Army on November 15, 1971 and served in Germany until his discharge in August of 1973. He returned to Grafton and worked for area farmers and later owned and operated Vinyl Masters Upholstery. He later moved to Grand Forks and started working as a delivery driver for FedEx. Regan married MaryLou Puppe on June 24, 1994 in Grand Forks. The couple made their home there. He retired from FedEx in 2017.
Regan loved to fish and spend time at his camper on Stump Lake. He had a passion for farming and would help LeClerc farms whenever possible and he especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Regan is survived by his wife, MaryLou, Grand Forks, ND; step-children: Kristyl (Matthew) Addison, Las Vegas, NV; Miranda (Waylon) Hejny, St. Francis, MN; David Narlock, Portland, OR; his grandchildren: Dylan, Bronson and Ella Hejny, Landon Foster-Addison and Otto Narlock; his sisters: Sandy (Fred) Sonnenberg, Dent, MN and Peggy (Tim) Gunderson, Grand Forks, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Scott.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakwood, ND. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Oakwood, ND in the spring. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
