Raynold W. Bodmer, age 98 of Grafton, ND, formerly of Hoople, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton.
Raynold Bodmer was born January 25, 1920 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Ray and Lillian (Hull) Bodmer. He grew up and attended school near Hoople, graduating from Hoople High School. Following his education he farmed with his father. He was united in marriage to Doris Jean Peoples on September 18, 1949 in Grafton. The couple made their home near Hoople following their marriage. Upon retirement from farming, he bought and ran the Standard Station and Garage in Hoople. The couple moved to Grafton in 2007.
He was a member of the Hoople Methodist Church, the Hoople Fire Department, Jaycee’s and the Hoople Fertilizer and Oil. He was a former mayor of Hoople and bowled with the Hoople farmers.
Raynold is survived by his wife Doris Jean of Grafton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grafton Federated Church. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 P.M. at the church. Interment will be at the Hoople City Cemetery.
