Raymond J. Keeley

Raymond J. Keeley, age 77 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, January 04, 2015 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Raymond J. Keeley was born September 22, 1937 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Mark and Sadie (Ruddy) Keeley. He attended rural school and graduated from Grafton High School. Following his education he started farming with his brother Gene and they farmed together until the late 1990's. Ray was united in marriage to Nancy Crouse on September 21, 1957 in Grafton. The couple made their home on the farm near Grafton. She passed away on June 7, 1989. Ray married Genny Osowski Ebertowski on Dec. 23, 2005 in Grafton and they made their home on the farm. Ray continued to work with his son Mark on the farm. Ray was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, served on the board of Grafton Curlers and Walsh Rural Water and was a member of the Grafton Rural Fire Department. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play hockey, enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles and spending time at the lake. He is survived by his wife, Genny, Grafton, ND; children: Debbie (Bruce) Lessard, Grand Forks, ND; Darlene Gourde, Grafton, ND; Mark (Holly) Keeley, Grafton, ND; Susan (Allan) Szklarski, Grafton, ND; Sandra (Daniel) Lais, Grand Forks, ND; step-sons: Terry (Kathy) Ebertowski, Grafton, ND; Shane (Tracey) Ebertowski, Grand Forks, ND; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and brother, Eugene (Judy) Keeley, Grafton, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy, grandson, Derek Szklarski, brothers: Tom and Bernard and sisters: Eileen Jones and Frances Bruce. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
