Randy L. Slama

Randy L. Slama, age 51 of Milton, ND and Morden Manitoba passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Princeton, ILL. Randy L. Slama was born January 3, 1960 in Langdon, ND the son of Richard F. and Marlyce (Swanson) Slama. He grew up and attended school in Milton, ND. Following his education he started working for Candy Construction of Dickinson, ND. He later worked for Sunderland Construction and for 21 years worked for Close Construction in Milton, ND. He was united in marriage to Rochelle Lindenberg on June 10, 1978. She died May 13, 1998. He was united in marriage to Darla Rempel on October 18, 2008 in Dogwood, Manitoba Canada. He was currently running his own construction company called Radar Runner Construction and he also owned and operated Randy Slama Trucking. Randy is survived by his wife Darla of Morden, Manitoba Canada, his children: Tressa (Dan) Setness, Grand Forks, ND; Connor Slama, Mountain, ND; step-children: Jennifer (James) Rodgers, Winnipeg, MB, Canada, Joylyn (Kevin) Turri, Morden, MB Canada, Jody Rempel, Winnipeg, MB Canada, his mother Marlyce (Allan) Geir, Milton, ND; siblings: Rick Slama, Milton, ND; Janelle Slama, Park River, ND; Janette (Greg) Gustafson, Pelican Rapids, MN; Jolene (Mitch) Syverson, Hawley, MN; half-brother: Wendell (Minda) Geir, Milton, ND; grandchildren: Drevin Setness, Candice, Catilin, Cienna and Emmy. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, wife Rochelle and maternal and paternal grandparents. Mass of Christian Burial will be: Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Edinburg. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Union Cemetery of Osnabrock, ND.
