Peter Lafrance

Peter LaFrance, age 64 of Aneta, and formerly of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Aneta Parkview Health Center. Peter LaFrance was born May 1, 1949 in Cando, ND, the son of the late Peter LaFrance and Florestine Azure. He grew up in Fargo, ND until the age of 16 when he moved to Grand Forks. He later moved to Jamestown for a year before moving to the Grafton State School. While in Grafton, he was employed as a janitor for various places in town. He was very proud to be employed and earn his own money, and one of his proudest moments was celebrating 20 years of living on his own. He moved into the nursing home in Aneta in 2010. He enjoyed going to rummage sales and was a lifelong Elvis fan. Peter is survived by his siblings: Sharon (George) Arel, Robert LaFrance, Caralin LaFrance, all of Fargo, ND, Marilyn (Ron) Cullen, Horace, ND, half-siblings: Leroy (Carol) LaFrance, Horace, ND, Chris Milford, Grand Forks, ND, Ray Wilkie Moorhead, MN. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, half-siblings: Judy Hanson, Lovetta Kearney, Vincent Wilkie, and niece Barbara Ann Wilkie. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 29, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton City Cemetery.
