Penny Rose Kram

Penny Rose Kram, age 66 of Park River passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the First Care Health Center of Park River. Penny Rose Yates was born February 25, 1948 in Aurora, Colorado, the daughter of the late Stanley and Elise (Gullion) Yates. She graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1965. Penny was united in marriage to Duane Kram on September 26, 1975 in Aurora, Colorado. The couple made their home in Colorado and California. In 1990 they moved back to Colorado. She worked as a teacher's Assistant in California and Colorado. In 2004 they moved to Park River, ND and continued to make their home there until the time of her death. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a past president of St. Mary's Auxiliary and a past president of the Park River American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed canning and Reading the Bible and other books. Penny is survived by her husband Duane Kram, Park River, ND; children: David Kram, Minneapolis, MN; Kelley Kram, Grafton, ND; grandchildren: Miranda, Alexys, Chris, Kyler, Jayden, Cody and Joey; brothers: Ted (Ona) Yates, Colorado Springs, CO; John Yates, Victorville, CA; sisters: Anita Bowden, Bluefield, VA; Sue Reynolds, Redding, CA; special friends: Judi Witt, Park River, ND; Kim Cyr, Denver, CO; Cathy Davis Dutton, Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Dennis and brothers: Kenneth Yates and Eugene Yates. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Thursday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery of Park River in the spring.
