Pearl A. Bennington

Pearl A. Bennington, 84 of Park River, ND passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Essentia Health in Fargo. Pearl A. Erickson was born October 10, 1928 in Latona Township to the late Arthur and Ingeborg (Sjoberg) Erickson. She grew up and attended country school in Latona Township. Following her education she was united in marriage to Lee Bennington on January 26, 1952 at the Baptist Parsonage in Park River, ND. The couple made their home on the family farm near Park River for several years before moving into Park River in 1967. She was a member of the Park River Federated Church. She enjoyed embroidery, knitting, candle wicking, collecting dolls and Dickens Villages. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Lee of Park River, children: Mark (Ruth) Bennington, Park River, ND, Ruth Ann (Owen) Melland, Hoople, ND, grandchildren: Jamie (Mari) Bennington, Park River, ND, Josh (Jerri) Bennington, Park River, ND, McKayla Bennington, Park River, ND, Justin Melland, Hoople, ND, Aaron Melland, Hoople, ND, great grandchild Paige Bennington, siblings: Marion Westling, Bloomington, MN, Ruth (Bud) Ramsey, Park River, ND, Betty (Bill) Pich, Rushford, MN, Arlen Erickson, Devils Lake, ND, and sister-in-law Mary Ann Erickson, Thief River Falls, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Arthur Erickson Jr., and brother-in-law Roy Westling. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:30 at the Park River Federated Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Park River. The family requests that no fragrances be worn.
