Paulette Marie Richardson

Paulette M. Richardson, age 79, of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Paulette Marie Best was born September 14, 1945 to the late Emmett and Ellen Ardis (Olson) Best in rural Fordville, ND.  She attended school in Inkster and graduated from Midway High School. After graduation Paulette enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Douglas. After her honorable discharge in 1964, she moved to Kentucky, where she resided until returning to North Dakota in 1970.

Paulette worked for the Life Skills and Transition Center for more then 30 years.  She enjoyed tending a garden full of flowers and crafting.  She loved her family time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Spending time cooking, baking, and playing games together were her most cherished memories.

Paulette is survived by her children: John W. (Stephanie Martin) Richardson II, Chatteroy, WA, Sondra Richardson, Grafton, ND, and Tina (Mike Tate) Richardson, Grafton, ND; Grandchildren: Leah Riske, Amber (Larson) Cigelske, Misty (Richardson) Kaltved, Justin Hogue, Rebecca (Neustel) Fischer, Amanda (Richardson) Simpson, Gabriella Rodriguez, Jade Vaudrin, Levi Dvorak, Justice Tate, Brenden Dvorak, and Taelyn Tate; 14 great grandchildren; and her siblings: Wilfred (Sandy) Best, Maurice (Jackie) Best, and Dennis (Vicki) Best.  She was preceded in death by her parents Emmett and Ardis, infant daughter Janelle Diane Richardson, and sister Virginia Ellen Barta.
