Patricia Sobolik

Patricia Irene Sobolik, age 66 of Pisek, ND, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton, ND. Patricia I. Otto was born September 18, 1948 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Edythe (Beckmyer) Thom and the late Laurence Otto. The family moved to Neche, ND when she was 8 and she attended school there graduating from Neche High School. Following her education, she was united in marriage to Ivan Sobolik on July 25, 1969 in Veseleyville, ND. The couple lived and farmed near Pisek. She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and Altar Society of Veseleyville, ND, and the Pisek American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, fishing, sewing, crafting, reading, working on ceramics, researching family history and genealogy, cooking, baking, traveling, and photography. She is survived by her husband Ivan, Pisek, ND, children: Tammy Sobolik, Nashville, TN; Rory (Gwen) Sobolik, Park River, ND; , Kari (Ryan) Sullivan, Rapid City, SD; grandchildren: Hudson, Lawson, and Trygg Sobolik; mother Edythe Thom, Cavalier, ND; siblings: Judith (Gale) Watts, Saint Thomas, ND; Roy Otto, Bathgate, ND; Larry Otto, Cavalier, ND; Kathy (Miles) Nelson, Eagan, MN, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Laurence Otto, and an infant son John Sobolik. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Veseleyville, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery of Veseleyville.
