Oscar P. Guerra

Oscar P. Guerra, age 52 of St. Thomas, ND passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton, ND. Oscar P. Guerra was born February 14, 1959 in Monterrey, Mexico the son of the late Prudencio and Lina (Pruneda) Guerra. He grew up in Los Angeles Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He married Yolanda Martinez on December 20, 1979 in McAllen, Texas. The couple worked in Washington State and then moved to North Dakota, working for Baldwin Farms in St. Thomas for the last 26 years. Oscar became a United States Citizen in 1997. He is survived by his wife Yolanda of St. Thomas, ND; his daughters: Noemi Guerra, Grafton, ND; Claribel Guerra and Yuliza Guerra both of St. Thomas, ND; his son Omar Jr. of Mission TX; grandchildren: Oscar Villarreal, Xavier Villarreal, Noelani Villarreal and Alina Villarreal; his mother Lina Guerra of Rio Grande City, TX; eight brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Joe. Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 4-7 PM at the St. John's Parish Center of Grafton, ND. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM at St. John's. Funeral services will take place in Los Angeles Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
