Orlyn H. Berg

Orlyn H. Berg, age 80 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Orlyn was born June 27, 1931 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Otto and Hilda (Bekkerus) Berg. He attended Glenwood District 15 and the Walsh County Agriculture School in Park River, ND. After his graduation he farmed near Hoople, ND and did farm labor. He was united in marriage to Mary Dusek on June 9, 1958 in Grafton, ND. He then began working as a Mechanic at A & H Implement and worked there for 25 years. After his retirement in 1992 he began working for Earl Anderson and the Gene Keeley Farms. Orlyn was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Grafton, ND and the Walsh County Historical Society. He is survived by his wife Mary Berg, Grafton, ND; daughters: Mary Kay Berg, Glendale, CA; Joyce Berg, Glendale, CA and sister Carol Offerdahl, Fordville, ND. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Allen. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 26, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. John's Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7:30 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hoople, ND.
