Orlando A. Gryde, age 83 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.
Orlando A. Gryde was born December 5, 1925 in Edinburg, ND the son of the late Joseph and Hilda (Troftgruben) Gryde. He attended rural school at the Gryde School in Tiber Township and graduated from Edinburg High School. Following his education he farmed with his brother James in Tiber Towship until 1984. Orlando remained on the farm until the late 1990's when he moved into Edinburg. He moved to the Borg Pioneer Memorial Home in Mountain, ND in March of 2008.
Orlando was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg, ND and the former Odalen Lutheran Church of rural Edinburg.
He is survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Joseph and James and sister Cora.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Odalen Lutheran Cemetery, rural Edinburg, ND.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Edinburg is in charge of the arrangements.
