Oliver C. Jensen Jr, age 65 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Oliver C. Jensen Jr. was born May 24, 1949 in Langdon, ND the son of Oliver C. Jensen Sr and Selma C. (Verke) Jensen. He grew up in Osnabrock Township. The family moved to Grafton in 1966 where he graduated high school. After high school he attended UND and the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton. He was drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in Alaska where he trained in the Nike Air Missile Systems. Oliver married Deborah Ganyo on May 19, 1973 in Hoople, ND. The couple resided in Grafton where they raised their two sons, Christopher and Nathan. He worked as the Bakery Manager at Wally's Supermarket for several years. He also helped Gary and Darren Demers with seasonal farm labor. Before retiring he worked at the Cenex C-Store. He really enjoyed visiting with all the people that came in. Oliver enjoyed being on the bowling leagues and took great pride in hunting and fishing with family and friends. He was a member of the Grafton American Legion Post #41. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. After retiring he enjoyed spending quality time with his wife Deb and doing puzzles. Oliver is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deborah, Grafton, ND; sons: Christopher C. Jensen, Grafton, ND and Nathan (Julie) L. Jensen, Hatton, ND; two granddaughters: Haleigh and Hazel Jensen, Hatton, ND; his mother, Selma Jensen, Grafton, ND; two sisters: Caroline V. Brodehl, Grafton, ND and Agnes O. Kearney and her family of Grand Forks, ND. He was preceded in death by his father, granddaughter Hope Jensen and grandson, Charlie Jensen, his nephew Randy and nieces: Andrea Brodehl and Ashley Ganyo. Funeral services will be Monday, March 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Interment will be at Highland Lutheran Cemetery of rural Fairdale. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
