Nora I. Rose

Nora I Rose, age 96 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton, ND.

Nora I Martin was born March 1, 1929 in Fort Williams Ontario Canada, the daughter of the late Dudley and Pearl (Smith) Martin. The family moved to the Drayton, ND area and Nora started school. In the 1930’s the family moved to Grafton and she completed her education in Grafton. Nora was united in marriage to Frank Rose on November 19, 1945 in Grafton. They made their home in Grafton where he owned and operated Rose Garage.

Nora was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She loved to garden and cook and was known for her beautiful floral gardens.

Nora is survived by her children: Carol Rose and David Rose (Jeannie Strande) both of Grafton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2012 and her siblings: Hazel, Cecil, Roy, Ernest and Elaine.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 5, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
