Nita Rebekah "Becky" Weed

November 28, 1953 — December 1, 2019

Nita Rebekah “Becky” Weed of Dilley, TX lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, December 1, 2019 in Grafton, ND, where she spent the last year of her life.

Becky Weed was born in Uvalde, TX to Eunice Damron and Clarence “Jack” Oldham on November 28, 1953.  She was raised and attended school in Pearsall, TX, graduating from Pearsall High School.

Becky had an amazing relationship with the Lord.  She kept her notes and made sure to be at every church service.  She did so many things during her life from hiking the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee to raising livestock and farming watermelons.  Becky was a very happy woman and always treated folks like family.  She was so comical and always had everyone laughing along with her.  She loved her grandson, Avery so dearly and spoke of him often.  Becky loved to listen to George Strait and Elvis Presley and she always sung along to every tune.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl Avery Weed; sisters: Linda Beth Vaughan and Alice Pate; first husband: James Dodson Brake, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter: Kari Rebekah Weed, grandson: Samuel Avery Vincent Ramirez, and nieces:  Amy Beth Thomason and Lucy Schultz.

Family services and inurnment will take place December 29, 2019 in Dilley, TX.
