Mina Marifjeren

Mina Marifjeren, age 101 of Adams, ND passed away on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River, ND. Mina Marifjeren was born September 2, 1907 at her parents farm near Adams.  She was the daughter of the late Knute and Ida (Qually) Boe.  She grew up on the farm and attended school at Fairview Township Grade School and Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River, graduating in 1926.  She married the late Andy Marifjeren on April 26, 1927.  A son, Larry, was born in 1930.  The family lived in Park River, ND and Seattle, Washington until her husband???s death on March 15, 1958.  Mina moved to Garden Grove, CA before coming to Adams, ND in 1968.  Her son Larry died on August 10, 1984.  Mina worked as a retail sales clerk in Washington and California.  She resided in Adams until August of 2001 when she moved into the Borg Home of Mountain, ND, and in February 2002 she moved to the Good Samaritan Center of Park River, ND.

Mina is survived by her daughter-in-law Lore Morgret Marifjeren, Bradenton, FL; grandchildren: David (Patti) Marifjeren, Bradenton, FL; Donald Marifjeren, Richmond, KY; great grandson Daniel Marifjeren, Richmond, KY and many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, brothers: Ralph (Myrtle) Boe, and Palmer (Leona) Boe and sister Borghild (Eddie) Swensrud.
