Mildred M Jallo

Mildred M. Bohac was born on December 11, 1927 on the family farm near Lankin, ND, the daughter of the late Frank and Barbara (Hodny) Bohac. She grew up near Lankin and attended the Lampton Country School in Perth Township, Walsh County, ND. She was united in marriage to Kalmer Jallo on June 9, 1947 in Lankin, ND. The couple made their home near Lankin and she worked for several area farmers during potato harvest. They moved into Park River in 1979 and she began working in the kitchen at the hospital and later the Good Samaritan Center until retiring in 2013. Kalmer passed away in April of 2002. She continued to live at home until she moved into the Good Samaritan Center on June 15, 2018.

Millie was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Bechyne and later the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Park River. She was a member of the Lankin American Legion Auxiliary, the First Care Hospital Auxiliary, and a former member of the Hillcrest Homemaker Club. She enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Millie is survived by her children: Linda Knudson and Albin (Pam) Jallo, both of Fordville, ND, grandchildren: Todd (Terry) Knudson, Stacey (Mark) Wasylow, Melissa (John) Bondy, Amber (Tanner) Brueckner, Amy (Taylor) Grabanski, great grandchildren: Trevor and Taylor Knudson, Wyatt, Ogden and Olivia Wasylow, Colton and Jayden Bondy, Jack and Hannah Brueckner, Emma, Everly and Elinor Grabanski, brothers-in-law: Sanford (Mayvis) Jallo, AZ and Earl (Helen) Trenda, WA, sister-in-law Lorraine Bohac, Grand Forks, ND, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kalmer, brothers: Albin and Stanley Bohac, and son-in-law Keith Knudson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Park River, ND. Visitation will be from 9-11 on Thursday at the church. Interment will be at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery of Bechyne.
