Merlyn J. Moe, age 68 of Park River, ND passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the First Care Health Center of Park River, ND. Merlyn J. Moe was born July 21, 1940 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Thorleif and Gunhild (Johnson) Moe. He grew up and attended school in Park River. Following his education he worked as farm labor in Cavalier and Park River. He later worked for Cudmore Gravel. He later worked for Nitsch Custom Harvesting in Hunter, KS. Merlyn moved back to Park River in 1998 and moved to the Good Samaritan Center in July of 2005.
He was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his children: Dave (Deb) Moe, Park River, ND; Linda (Mike) Salinas, Inkster, ND; Beverly Keihn, Homestead, FL; Lee Keihn, Duncan, OK; Dee (Caroline) Keihn, Port St. Lucy, FL and brother Gaylin (Sandy) Moe, Park River, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Jamie Lynn.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Park River, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Pleasant Valley Lutheran Cemetery of rural Park River.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River is in charge of the arrangements.
