Melvina Corbit

Melvina "Vickie" Corbit, age 86 of Grafton, ND passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Melvina Veralud was born March 26, 1927 in Oslo, MN the daughter of the late Melvin and Ellen (Alstrom) Veralud. She grew up and attended school near Park River, ND. She was united in marriage to Lloyd L. Corbit in Park River, ND. Sept. 1, 1946. The couple made their home in Grand Forks. Vickie worked in food services at the University of North Dakota until retiring in 1992. She moved to Grafton and made her home here since. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Grafton and the Park River American Legion Auxiliary. Vickie is survived by her children: Roger (Brenda) Corbit, Coon Rapids, MN; Mark Corbit, Tucson, AZ, Paul (Peggy) Corbit, Grafton, ND; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and siblings: Jean (Larry) Johnson, Bemidji, MN; Melvin Veralud, Castle Rock, WA and Elton Veralud, Carlsbad, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, June. Memorial Services will be Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.
