Mary A. Klug, age 95 of Grafton, ND passed away on Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Mary A. Paukert was born October 10, 1913 in Sauter Township of Walsh County, ND the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Kubat) Paukert. She graduated from High School in Sauter Township. Following her education she was united in marriage to Edwin R. Klug on June 23, 1934 in Grafton, ND. The couple farmed in Sauter Township until 1964 when they moved to Grafton. Mary worked as a cook at the Grafton Developmental Center until her retirement. Edwin passed away on August 24, 1994 and she moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home in July of 2006.
She was a member of the CZBJ Lodge near Lankin, ND.
She is survived by her son Edward Klug, Grafton, ND; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on August 24, 1994, Son Gerald, Daughter-in-law Lois Klug, two brothers: Edward and Jim and sister Albina.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Kosobud Cemetery near Lankin, ND.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
