Marvin Lee Misialek

Marvin Lee Misialek, age 82 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Marvin Lee Misialek was born May 15, 1933 in Auburn, ND, the son of the late Bruno and Ella (Erickson) Misialek. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1953 and was proud to be a Grafton Spoiler. He served in the US Air Force for four years where he was stationed in Japan. Following his discharge he returned to the Grafton area. He was united in marriage to Marlys Jacobson in Fordville, ND on January 12, 1965. He worked in the masonry business his entire life for various establishments. Marlys passed away in 1995. He lived the last 20 years of his life at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. The Sunset Home truly was his home. He was a member of the Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Grafton. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to the casino. He loved sports, fishing, watching TV Land, cooking, baking, and canning. He was known for his homemade pizza, hot dishes, and fruitcake. He is survived by his son Michael, Grafton, ND, grandson James, Tolna, ND, sisters: Mary Johnson, Grafton, ND, Edna (LeRoy) Anderson, Grafton, ND, JoAnn (Mort) West, Grafton, ND, Phyllis (Jack) Burns, Auburn, ND, Betty LeBlanc, Grafton, ND, last surviving uncle Lenny Misialek, Grafton, ND, and sister-in-law Betty Jo Misialek. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Bradly James, wife Marlys, brothers: James and Ray, mother and father-in-law Helen and Edwin Jacobson, and sister-in-law Marlys Nichols. Funeral services will be Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard. Interment will be at the Grafton City Cemetery.
