Marjorie M. Patocka, age 94 of Grafton, ND, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton.
Marjorie May Haug was born November 2, 1921 on the family farm near Cando, ND, the daughter of the late Anton and Shirley (Bessire) Haug. She attended and graduated from Park River High School. She moved to Bryan, Texas and then the Twin Cities where she worked for Aladdin Manufacturing for 10 years. She was united in marriage to Joseph Patocka on November 21, 1964 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The couple retired and returned to the Grafton area. After her retirement she volunteered as a foster grandmother at the Grafton Developmental Center. Joseph passed away October 14, 1998 and Marjorie moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home in 2008.
She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Gordon Erovick, Jr., Grafton, ND; daughters: Saundra (Joseph) Loughead, Grafton, ND; Shirley Greicar, Grafton, ND; Linda Dockter, Bismarck, ND; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters: Joanne and Geraldine Erovick and her brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be Monday, June 6, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery of Grafton.
