Marion Thompson, age 91 of Grafton, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Marion Elizabeth Bell was born April 10, 1923 in Grafton, the daughter of the late Stewart and Bertha (Hanna) Bell. She graduated Grafton High School and Mayville State Teachers College. She taught school in Neche, Lakota and Grafton. Marion was united in marriage to Gordon T. Thompson on May 7, 1948, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Thompson of Grafton. Gordon died December 11, 1997. She was a member of the Grafton Federated Church, Presbyterian Missionary Society, Order of the Eastern Star and PEO. Marion is survived by her son, Albert (Sharon) Thompson, Grafton, ND; grandchildren: Chad (Paula) Thompson, Holdingford, MN; Danielle (John) Scherer, San Diego, CA and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Grafton Federated Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Crescent Cemetery, Grafton.
