Marion Latulippe

Marion Latulippe, age 86 of Fairdale, ND passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the First Care Health Center of Park River. Marion Verke was born September 24, 1925 in Osnabrock Township of Cavalier County, the daughter of the late Carl and Caroline (Hanson) Verke Sr. She attended school at the Osnabrock Consolidated School. Marion was united in marriage to Marvin Raknem on December 1, 1945 in Grand Forks. The couple lived and farmed near Edmore, ND for many years. He died in September of 1966. Marion and her daughter Jan stayed on the farm for a couple of years before moving into Fairdale. Marion was united in marriage to Everett Latulippe on October 24, 1971 in Fairdale where the couple made their home. Marion was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church and WELCA. Marion is survived by her husband Everett of Fairdale, ND; daughter Jan (Shawn) Gieszler, Bismarck, ND; two grandchildren: Marissa and Brandon Gieszler, Bismarck, ND; sisters: Inga Hammer, Grafton, ND; Alida Roppel, Langdon, ND and Selma Jensen, Grafton, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Marvin, an infant daughter and siblings: Bryan Verke, Ethel Gerszewski, William Verke, Lloyd Verke, Edwin Verke, Clayton Verke, Hartley Verke, Violet Deplazes, Gilbert Verke and Bud Verke. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church of Fairdale. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at West Adams Lutheran Cemetery.
