Marilyn Adelle Griesbach

Marilyn Adelle Griesbach, age 81 of Edmore, formerly of Hunter, ND passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Park River Good Samaritan Center. Marilyn Adelle Dowling was born August 28, 1932 in Fargo, ND, the daughter of the late Clinton and Ida (Laugeness) Dowling. She graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1950. She then worked for the Fargo School System until her marriage. Marilyn was united in marriage to Kenneth Griesbach on October 4, 1958. The couple farmed and raised their family in the Hunter area until their retirement in 1984. They moved to West Fargo in 2003. In 2009, she moved to Edmore where she resided until her health required more care. She then resided in the Edmore Rest Home and then the Park River Good Samaritan Center until the time of her death. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Grandin, ND and a member of the Homemakers Club in Hunter. She was a very artistic person; she loved to paint, do ceramics and wood carvings. Marilyn is survived by her children: Laurie (David) Haugen, Edmore, ND; Scott Griesbach, Fargo, ND; Mark Griesbach, London, England; Peter Griesbach, Harlingen, Texas; grandchildren: Alysa (Tim) Tulibaski, Sarah (Bailey) Nordin, Chad (Kim) Haugen; Emily (Danny) Hebert, Kenneth Griesbach, Danielle Griesbach, Jessica (Sam) Smith and Josh (Jennifer) Dahl; seven great grandchildren; in-laws: Leona (Dave) Boisjolie; Lorna (Doug) Lawyer, Don Kellerman and Eleanor Dowling. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, brother Hugh and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Memorial services will be Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Living Word Free Lutheran Church of Edmore. Visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the Hunter Cemetery, Hunter, ND.
