Marillyn J. Goldstone

Marillyn J. "Kelly" Goldstone, age 76 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at her home in Grafton. Marillyn Jewell "Kelly" Connell was born April 7, 1934 in Detroit, MI the daughter of the late Myron and Jewell (Stonefield) Connell. She moved to Northern Minnesota and graduated from Blackduck High School. She was united in marriage to Calvin Hower and they had two daughters. Kelly later moved to Grafton, ND and married Fred "Tim" Goldstone Jr. on September 12, 1970. Kelly owned the Corner Court Trailer Court and farmed with her husband for many years. They were both pilots and lifetime member of the E.A.A., Chapter 380. They had their own airstrip called "Kelly Field" on their farm where they hosted many Fly-Ins for friends and fellow pilots. Kelly and Fred enjoyed square dancing and loved traveling extensively both here and abroad. In the later years they enjoyed traveling by motorcycle on their 1989 Harley Davidson Touring Bike. Kelly was an avid gardener and loved to cook and entertain many guests and visitors over the years. She is survived by her daughter; Kim Michelle (Tom) Jensen, Tenstrike, MN; three step-children: Dr. Mike (Linda) Goldstone, St. Paul, MN; Merrie (Steve) Brantseg, Minneapolis, MN; Mark (Rhonda) Goldstone, West Fargo, ND; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred on March 3, 2002, her brother Myron Jr. and sister Jeannine Reed and infant daughter Colleen. Private family services will be held.
