Marie E Jensen

Marie E. Jensen, age 64 of Park River, North Dakota passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the First Care Health Center of Park River surrounded by her family. Marie E. Jensen was born April 9, 1951 in Grafton, North Dakota, the daughter of the late Sigurdur and Mary (Klindt) Johnson. She grew up and attended school in Grafton. Following her education, she began working as a supervisor at the State School in Grafton. She later worked as a CNA at the Park River Good Samaritan Center and the Lutheran Sunset home until her health forced her to retire in 2013. She was united in marriage to Don Jensen on June 23, 1989 in Roseau, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Park River. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Park River. Marie had a smile and sense of humor that could light up a room. She had a great zest for life. She enjoyed listening to music of any genre, and loved family get-togethers with all her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Don of Park River, children: Paul Munoz, Grand Forks, ND, Yolanda (Mike) Syrup, Park River, ND, Robert (Cecilia) Munoz, Houston, TX, Gary (Amber) Munoz, Park River, ND, daughter-in-law Laura Munoz, Park River, ND, step-daughter Tara Jensen, Bismarck, ND, 17 grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter, siblings: Joeann (Paul) Norton, Granite Falls, WA, Eric (Roslyn) Johnson, Valley City, ND, Holly Johnson, Grafton, ND, Martha (Bob) Johnson, Grafton, ND, Jennie (Rodney) Patrow, Hibbing, MN, and Sig (Lorelei) Johnson, Wahpeton, ND. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son Kyle Munoz. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Park River. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery of Park River.
