Marie A. Jacobson, age 80 of Grafton, ND passed away on Friday, January 16, 2009 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.
Marie A. Erlanson was born May 4, 1928 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Gilbert and Helga (Gullickson) Erlanson. She attended the Glenwood School District #13 near Nash. Marie was united in marriage to Kenneth Jacobson in January of 1961 at the Zion Lutheran Church near Hoople. She worked as a CNA at the Good Samaritan Center in Park River for 25 years. She later worked at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton. Following her retirement she did volunteer work at the Second Time Around Store in Grafton.
Marie was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and WELCA of rural Hoople.
Marie is survived by her daughter: Michelle (Rick) Else, Grand Forks, ND; sister Gloris (Richard) Larson, Grafton, ND; her aunt Bernice Ringsak, Grafton, ND along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the Zion Lutheran Church of rural Hoople. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hoople.
