Marianne W. Eisenmann, age 84 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Marianne W. Moll was born September 8, 1924 in Aachen, Germany, the daughter of the late Simon and Ida (Koenigs) Moll. She attended elementary school in Aachen and graduated from High School in Celle, Germany. She attended an architectural school in Hildesheim, Germany. She worked as a translator for the British and American occupational forces after the war. Marianne was united in marriage to Vance J. Nelon in May of 1950 in Celle, Germany. The couple moved to Tacoma, WA in 1950 then later moved to Texarkana, AR where she became a naturalized citizen. They later moved to Houston, TX where she taught for the Berlitz School of Languages. In 1964 the couple moved to Edinburg, ND where Marianne worked as the Activity Director for the Borg Pioneer Memorial Home in Mountain. She also owned and operated a small gift shop in Edinburg and taught German out of her home in Edinburg. Marianne was united in marriage to Bert Eisenmann on August 9, 1985 in Hawaii. The couple made their home in Milwaukee for 10 years and moved to Edinburg, ND in 1995.

Marianne was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA and was involved in many community activities.

She is survived by her husband Bert of Edinburg, ND; children: Diana (Rusty) Forslund, Kenai, AK; Michael Nelon (Kaye Carlson), Edinburg, ND; Patricia (Larry) Brommer, Superior, WI; Mark (Sheryl) Nelon, Dallas, TX; Barbara Nelon-Roland, Kenai, AK; step-children: Sherry Gierczak, West Allis, WI; Gary (Donna) Eisenmann, Hales Corners, WI; Nancy (Mark) Taylor, Kaukauna, WI; grandchildren: Gabriel Jarboe (Hannah Corrao), Elisabeth Brommer, Sarah (Erik) Hansen, Laura Nelon, Hannah Nelon, Marianna, Thomas and Morgan Tschida, step-grandchildren: Jamie, Anthony and Andrew Gierczak, Robby Sommers, Brian and Colin Eisenmann,and Andrew Lindsey; sisters: Susanna Ogston (Kemps Jones), La Grande, OR; and Kaethe Worcester, The Dalles, OR. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Peter Moll.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Edinburg. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Edinburg.

The Tollefson Funeral Home of Edinburg is in charge of the arrangements.
