Marian R. Rustebakke

Marian R. Rustebakke, age 93 of Grafton, ND passed away on October 8, 2010 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Marian Ruth Kingsbury was born July 19, 1917 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Johnston) Kingsbury. She graduated from Grafton High School and earned her degree in education from Valley City State Teachers College. She met her husband Harold while teaching in Niagara, ND and later moved to St. Thomas, ND where they farmed and operated Rustebakke's Paint and Linoleum. Marian was active in the St. Thomas Methodist Church, Eastern Star and community activities. In 1962 they moved to Larimore, ND to farm and run Larimore Real Estate and Harold's Variety store. They moved to Corvallis, OR in 1970 where she worked at Oregon State University and in 1982 retired and moved to Mesa, AZ. Marian had resided at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton for the last five years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Harley Kingsbury and sister, Marjorie Walters. Marian will be missed by her two sons: Randy and Robin, granddaughter Wedny (Tom) Henderson, two great grandsons; Jacob and Maxwell Henderson; sister, Vivian Nelson; sister-in-law, Annie Kingsbury and many other relatives and friends.
