Margie F Kilichowski

Margie Kilichowski, age 96 of Minto, ND passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Valley Eldercare of Grand Forks.

Margie F. Grzadzielewski was born May 2, 1921 near Warsaw, ND the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Kamrowski) Grzadzielewski. She attended rural school near Warsaw and the St. Anthony Convent School in Warsaw. Margie was united in marriage to Richard Kilichowski on November 3, 1943 in Warsaw. The couple lived and farmed between Minto and Forest River until 1985 when they retired and moved into Minto. Richard passed away on Dec. 8, 2004 and Margie continued to make her home in Minto until December of 2016 when she moved to Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was also a member of the Degree of Honor, the Minto American Legion Auxiliary, Homemakers, a whist club and poker club. Margie was very involved with the Adoration Chapel at Sacred Heart Church.

She is survived by her children: Richard (Elaine), Minto, ND; Kenny (Evelyn), Minto, ND; Sue (Bill) Johnson, Manvel, ND; Francis (Paula), Minto, ND; Jane Evenson, Minto, ND; Harold (Garnet), Davenport, ND; Chrissy Kilichowski, Minto, ND; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Margie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Alvin Evenson, infant granddaughter, Jill, brothers: Medard, Lucien, Felix, Edwin and Frank and sisters, Sarah Thompson and Dora Marynik.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the Altru Hospice Program, Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
