Marge J. Machart

Marge (Machovsky) Machart, our beloved aunt, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center of Park River, ND.

Aunt Marge celebrated her 100 ^th birthday on January 26, 2021 in a small celebration at the Good Samaritan. She was a resident of Lankin until the age of 95. She was born to Bessie (Zizka) and Charles Machovsky. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Machart, her parents, sister Blanche Swartz and brothers: Julius and Ernest Machovsky.

Aunt Marge and Uncle Stan did not have biological children but their home in Lankin was always filled with family, friends and young people, playing many games; Canasta, Whist, Wahoo, Pinochle and puzzles. Alos, Uncle Stan playing guitar while they both sang and if we knew the words, we did too.

Marge was the telephone operator in Lankin for many years. Later she served as Post Mistress in Lankin. When she retired she returned to tending her lovely yard and apple trees.

She will be missed by several nieces, nephews and other family members all close to her heart.

A private interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Lankin in the spring.
