Marcellene M. Zola

Marcellene M. Zola, age 78 of Oslo, MN passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at her home near Oslo.

Marcellene M. Cieklinski was born April 9, 1939 in Argyle, MN the daughter of the late John and Helen (Gajeski) Cieklinski. She attended rural school near Florian, MN and graduated from Argyle High School. Following her education she worked in Grand Forks and later the State Bank of Warren. Marcellene was united in marriage to Harold Zola on September 20, 1960 in Florian, MN. The couple made their home near Oslo where they lived and farmed.

Marcellene was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society, the Walshville Homemakers and the Oslo American Legion Auxiliary. She loved spending time gardening, crocheting, and baking. She also loved playing board games, cards, and being with her grandchildren.

Marcellene is survived by her husband, Harold, Oslo, MN; her children: Jeffrey (Tammy) Zola, Grand Forks, ND; Susan (David) Cullinan, Eau Claire, WI; David Zola (Rebecca Green), Grand Forks, ND; Kenneth (Joette) Zola, Lino Lakes, MN; Alan (Penny Jo) Zola, Grand Forks, ND; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers: Frank (Marcella) Cieklinski, Warroad, MN; Conrad Cieklinski, Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 12, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Warsaw. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Warsaw, ND.
