Marcella L. Sevigny, age 89 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Marcella L. Byzewski was born June 24, 1925 in Pulaski Township of Walsh County, ND the daughter of the late Julian and Cazmera (Teske) Byzewski. She attended rural school near there and the Convent School in Warsaw and graduated from Grafton High School. She later attended Mayville State College. Marcella was united in marriage to Wilfred Sevigny on December 30, 1947 in Warsaw. The couple made their home in Grafton where they owned and operated Grafton Appliance. Marcella also worked as a medical secretary at the Grafton Developmental Center for a number of years. Wilfred passed away on Sept. 11, 1989. Marcella continued to operate Grafton Appliance until 2007 when she went out of business and moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home. She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society as well as the Grafton American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a very active member of the Polka Club. Marcella is survived by her son, Douglas Sevigny, Fort Totten, ND; daughter, Irene (Tony) Weigel, Edgeley, ND; four grandchildren: Joey, Jason, Lisa and Linda, her sister, Marie Biba, Milwaukee, WI, a cousin, William Teske, Grand Forks, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Timothy and two brothers: Jerome and David. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
