Marcella Mary Capouch, age 89, of Pisek, ND, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. Marcy was born on January 15, 1925 on the family farm near Lankin, ND. She was the daughter of William and Josephine (Bina) Bosh. She attended school through the 8th grade in Cleveland Township near Bechyne, ND. On April 4, 1945, she was united in marriage to Herman Capouch at Bechyne, ND. They first lived on the farm near Pisek, eventually moving into their home in Pisek. Marcy lived at the Good Samaritan apartments in Park River for several years, before most recently, moving to Bloomington, MN to live with family. People measure their lives in so many ways. Marcy's life could be measured by piles of handmade quilts, afghans, doilies and hand-stitched towels; beautiful gardens, yielding fresh flowers and food; freezers full of homemade treats, ready for anyone who happened to stop by; evenings spent cheering on the MN Twins and Fighting Sioux hockey games. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and Altar Society, and American Legion Auxiliary. At times, you could find her working at the J-Mart or even helping with potatoes at Burbidge Seed Company. Marcy was an outstanding cook and baker - her kolache, ginger snaps, and potato salad are a few of everyone's favorites. More importantly, Marcy's life should be measured by the caring thoughtfulness and love that she showed to her familyand friends, from the siblings that she fought to keep together and support after her mother's passing when she was only 16, to the four generations of children rooted from her marriage with her late husband, Herman. She loved, and was loved deeply, by those who touched her life. She will not be forgotten. Marcy is survived by her children: Duane (Joanne) Capouch of Avon, CO, Bart (Sue) Capouch of Pisek, ND, DanielCapouch (Maurice Nakumbe) of Austin, TX, Deborah Capouch (Jon Rasmussen) of Bloomington, MN, Brian Capouch (Rose LeBlanc) of Avon CT, Bradley (Pity) Capouch of Minneapolis, MN, and Kurt (Lori) Capouch of Bismarck, ND; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; her sisters, Marion Capouch of Grand Forks, ND, Minnie Cole of Park River, ND, Dorothy Novak of Lankin, ND, and Gen Miller of Brocket, ND, and brother, Leo Bosh of Lankin, ND. Marcy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herman, her parents, William and Josephine Bosh, and her siblings, Herman Bosh, Florence Jelinek, Josephine Brodina, William Bosh, and Barty Bosh. Visitation will be on Monday, August 4th, from 5 - 7 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at St. John's Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pisek, ND, and the funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 5th, at 10:30 am at St. John's in Pisek, ND.
