Mae L. Dupree, age 75 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Mae L. Olson was born October 31, 1932 in Roseau, MN the daughter of the late Knute and Mary (Brenhaug) Olson. She attended schools in Roseau. She was united in marriage to Gerald R. Dupree on March 22, 1950 in Campbell, MN. The couple traveled with Gerald's work as a brick layer. The couple moved to Grafton in 1955 and made their home here since. Mae worked as a turkey inspector for Kimball Brothers Turkey Plant and for several potato companies in the Grafton area. Gerald died May 18, 2004.
Mae was a member of the Grafton VFW Auxiliary, the Grafton Senior Citizens and delivered Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her children: Wayne (Sharon) Dupree, Grafton, ND; Calvin (Claudia) Dupree, Jamestown, ND; Karol (Brian) Dupree-Robinson, St. Thomas, ND; six grandchildren: Shawn Dupree, Grafton, ND; Julie Dupree, Grafton, ND; Jenny Puno, Jamestown, ND; Rachel Dupree, Bismarck, ND; Kyle Dupree, Bismarck, ND; Kasey Dupree, Grand Forks, ND; eight great grandchildren: Daisy Mae Dupree, Acaydia Mae Dupree, Kadynn Dupree, Tanner Dupree, Taylor Puno, Britney Puno, Jonathon Puno and Noah MacDonald; siblings: Eleanor Qualey, Anoka, MN; Orvel(Harriet) Olson, Roseau, MN; Elmer (Beverly) Olson, Roseau, MN; Ruth (Dennis) Breiland, Wannaska, MN and Carolyn Edwards, Grafton, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Grafton Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton Lutheran Cemetery.
