Lynndon L. Tischman

Lynndon L. Tischman Jr., 68 of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Edinburg and Bemidji, MN passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Valley Elder Care Center of Grand Forks. Lynndon L. Tischman was born January 1, 1944 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Linden L. and Rosalind (Talaska) Tischman. He graduated from Bemidji High School and entered the United States Army. He served from January of 1964-1967. Following his discharge he returned to Bemidji and worked for the NuPly Factory in Bemidji. He later moved to Edinburg, ND and Mountain, ND and in 2010 he moved to the Valley Elder Care in Grand Forks. Lynndon was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Edinburg, ND; the Davidson American Legion Post of Edinburg and the VFW Post of Bemidji. He is survived by his brother Douglas Tischman, Bemidji, MN; sister Rosemary Denault, Edinburg, ND; nieces and nephews: Jessica (Jared) Ellingson, Edinburg, ND; Alicia (Bruce) Holmgren, West Berlin, NJ; Jim Tischman, Minneapolis, MN; Barry (Sonia) Tischman and Angela Tischman, both of Bemidji, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Tollefson Funeral Home of Edinburg, ND. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Military rites will be provided by the Davidson American Legion Post of Edinburg.
