Lynn David Ebert, age 82 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Lynn David Ebert was born June 18, 1931 in Grafton, ND the son of the late David and Agnes (Paulson) Ebert. He attended rural school near Grafton and graduated from Grafton High School in 1949. He served in the North Dakota National Guard and the United States Army from 1949-1957, serving in Japan. Following his discharge he returned home and farmed with his father. He continued farming until retiring in the late 1990's. Fishing, golfing and farming were his life's interests. Lynn was a member of the Grafton American Legion, Grafton V.F.W., Grafton Eagle's, Grafton Golf Club and the Grand Forks Elks. He served on the board at the Lutheran Sunset Home. Lynn was a very social person and loved to visit. He was a loyal member of Granny's Table of Knowledge, both morning and afternoons. Lynn is survived by his soul mate, June Erlendson, Grafton, ND; brother-in-law, Richard Schuster, Spencer, IA; nephews: Mark (Sue) Schuster, Woodbury, MN and Allan (Kristy) Schuster, Spencer, IA. Several grand nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Helga Ebert, sister, Donna Schuster and niece, Debbie Foss. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 3-5 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. A private family service will be held at a later date.
