Lydia M. Kelly

Lydia M. Kelly, age 84 of Park River, ND passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Desert Banner Hospital in Mesa, Arizona.

Lydia was born August 19 ^th , 1938 in Crookston, MN the daughter of the late Thorwald Wegge, Ollie Skeim (Step-father) and Shirley (Thoe) Skeim.  Lydia attended school in Grafton and Park River, ND, and attended beauty school.  She married John E. Kelly on November 14 ^th , 1958 in Park River at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. A homemaker, Lydia was always working on some craft, baking a delicious meal or dessert, or decorating for the next holiday, big or small.

She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family, and recently became a pro at Diamond Art. In earlier years she painted ceramics, loved to bowl, and was a member of the Park River Curling Club.

Lydia is survived by her children: Pam (Colin) Craig, Mesa, AZ; Carmen (Jeff) Kelly Harrison, Laquinta, CA; Stacy Kelly, Scottsdale, AZ; Barry (Virginia) Kelly, Gilbert, AZ; Seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and siblings: Bonny (Larry) Dvorak, and Gary Skeim.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers: Dennis, and Darrell.

Memorial services will be Monday, November 7 ^th at 11:00 A.M. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Park River, with inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River, ND.
