Lowell Edward Redmann

Lowell Edward Redmann, age 89, went home to the Lord on May 31st, 2017 surrounded by family.

Lowell was born May 23, 1928 in Glasston, ND, the son of Ed and Marg (Ganssle) Redmann.  He graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1947, and then began farming with his dad.  He married Lois Helen Torkelson on November 5, 1950 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hoople, ND.  They lived and farmed near St. Thomas for forty years.  They began traveling back and forth between Yuma, AZ in the winter, and St. Thomas, ND in the summer.  Lowell was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, St. Thomas, and was a charter member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Yuma.  Lowell served in many capacities at both churches during his lifetime.  He was a prayer warrior and a witness for the Lord.  Lowell also loved to travel, and he and Lois enjoyed many trips across the country.  During his time back in ND during the summers, he enjoyed driving to and visiting the various small businesses in and around St. Thomas.

Lowell is survived by his wife of 66 years Lois, children Sandy (Larry) Hughes, Hemet, CA, Diane (Bill) Grandy, Saint Thomas, ND, Randy (Judy) Redmann, St. Thomas, ND, Dean (Kathleen) Redmann, Fargo, ND; nine grandchildren Heather (Joe) Hicks, David (Heather) Hughes, Michael (Andrea) Hughes, Margo (Troy) Spilde, Sarah (Patrik) Hansson, Troy Redmann, Adam Redmann, Daniel Redmann, Kaylee Redmann; and fourteen great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sisters Grace Reichert, Lynchburg, VA, Carol (Don) Dupras, Surprise, AZ, and Sharon Redmann, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Eloise Tjernagel.

Visitation will be held at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton on Sunday June 11, 2017 from 3:00 to 5:00pm.  Interment will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, rural St. Thomas on Monday June 12, 2017 at 10:00 A.M.
