Louise A. Tibert age 87 of Minto, ND passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.
Louise Ann Wosick was born April 27, 1921 in Pulaski Township near Warsaw, ND the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Merchlewicz) Wosick. She attended rural schools in Pulaski Township and later the convent in Warsaw. Louise was united in marriage to John Budd Tibert on January 9, 1943 in Chicago, IL. The couple moved to Minto where they lived and farmed. Louise moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home in January of 2006 and Budd died August 1, 2006.
Louise was a devout member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society. She led the rosary before Mass for years. She was a member of the Minto American Legion Auxiliary. Louise lived a long and wonderful life and she had a wonderful sense of humor.
She is survived by her children: Walter Tibert of Minto, ND; Bill (Jody) Tibert, Voss, ND; George Tibert, Pisek, ND; John Tibert, Minto, ND; Louise Tibert, Newell, SD; Lorraine Tibert, Hillsboro, ND; Mark (Suzi) Tibert, Minto, ND; Melvin (Cathy) Tibert, Minto, ND; Mary (Mark) Tweten, Minto, ND; Ione Worman, Rapid City, SD; Andy (Rhonda) Tibert, Minto, ND. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, half-brothers: Frank and Julian Wosick, sisters: Ione and Ann and son-in-law: Joseph Worman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
