Louise Sevigny

Louise R. Sevigny, age 90 of Grafton, ND, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.

Louise Osowski was born July 11, 1932 in Ardoch Township, Walsh County, ND, the daughter of the late Bruno and Stella (Ebertowski) Osowski.  She grew up and attended school near Warsaw, ND.  She was united in marriage to Daniel Sevigny on April 7, 1953 in Warsaw. Following their marriage the couple lived and farmed in the Oakwood area.  Louise worked at the newspaper and migrant school, as well as helping on the farm when needed.  She moved into the Lutheran Sunset Home in the fall of 2018.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society of Oakwood, ND as well as the American Legion Auxiliary.

Louise is survived by her son Alan Sevigny, Jamestown, ND; 3 grandchildren; siblings: JoAnn Babinski, Minto, ND, Maxine Wilkes, Grafton, ND and Ernest (Karen) Osowski, Grand Forks, ND; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Daniel, daughter Phyllis Marie, siblings: Sarah Nice, Esther Narloch, and Beatrice Houdek, as well as 3 infant siblings.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery of Oakwood.

Memorials are preferred to the Sacred Heath Catholic Cemetery of Oakwood, Valley Ambulance and Rescue, or the Lutheran Sunset Home.
