Lorretta M Gilleshammer

Lorretta M. Gilleshammer, age 84 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.

Lorretta M. Paul was born September 22, 1933 in Joliette, ND the daughter of the late Francis and Phoebe (Croaker) Paul. She grew up and attended school in St. Thomas, ND graduating from St. Thomas High School. Following her education Lorretta moved to Grafton. She was united in marriage to Glenn Gilleshammer on September 6, 1953 in Grafton. The couple has made their home in Grafton since. She worked at Grafton Drug for many years.

Lorretta was an avid curler. She enjoyed ceramic’s and spending time with her family.

Lorretta is survived by her husband, Glenn Gilleshammer, Grafton, ND; her children: Guy Gilleshammer, Moab, UT; Glenna Siewert, Fargo, ND; Gar (Kris) Gilleshammer, Angle Inlet, MN; Todd Gilleshammer (Colleen Olson), Fargo, ND; Mark (Diane) Gilleshammer, Grafton, ND; her sister, Betty Hartje, Lake Havasu, AZ and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Jerry Stackle, Aldora Cox, Evelyn Larson, Leola Stackle and two grandsons: Micah Gilleshammer and Brady Gilleshammer.

Lorretta’s wishes were for no funeral services to be held. She has donated her body to the University of North Dakota Deeded Body Program.
