Loretta Jean Gorder

Loretta Jean (Frovarp) Gorder, 76, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Providence Alaska Medical Center due to a heart attack. Loretta was born September 27, 1928 on a farm near Adams, ND. She earned an Associate's Degree in Business. An Anchorage resident for 51 years, she worked for Alaska Concrete Services for 15 years and Gorder Excavating for 30 years. She retired in 2008. At the time of her death she was the bookkeeper for East Thunderbird Condo Association. Her favorite things were her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family said: "she was beautiful inside and out and was loved by all who knew her". Loretta was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, Duane Gorder. She is survived by four children: Katherine (Glen) Weber, Fairbanks, AK; Tamera Windsor, Point MacKenzie, AK; Scott Gorder (Lori Ganong), Anchorage, AK and Kimberly (Bill) Sawyers, Fountain, CO; nine grandchildren: David, Christopher, April & Angie of Fairbanks, AK; Brittany, Morgan and Courtney, Fountain, CO and Colton and Olivia, Anchorage, AK; 16 great grandchildren: Megan, Matthew, Maria, Allison, Wyatt & Haddie, Alberta Canada, Danny, Derrick, Cody, Katelynn, Jackson, Amanda, Nathan & Brad, North Pole, AK; Levi and Jaxon, Fountain, CO. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Park River, ND.
