Lora Louise Anderson

Lora Louise Anderson, beloved wife, mother, nana, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, at the age of 75.

Born on July 28, 1950, to Herbert and Louise Ferguson, Lora lived life with quiet strength, fierce loyalty, and a sarcastic sense of humor that could lighten any room—or cut straight through it. She was honest to a fault, sharp as a tack, and never afraid to say exactly what she thought (whether you wanted to hear it or not).

On November 25, 1988, she married the love of her life, Richard Anderson. Together, they shared nearly four decades of marriage filled with laughter, deep understanding, and more than a few shared eye rolls at the world around them. They moved from Arizona to Voss, ND in 2002 and started their life as business owners of R&L Repair together. As a mother and grandmother, Lora was the kind of woman you could count on—steady, smart, loving, and always ready with a comment that made you laugh even when you didn’t feel like it.

She found joy not in big crowds or busy schedules, but in the comfort of home, the love of family, her favorite partner in crime (Stash) and a good soap opera. She also enjoyed spending her time at casinos, garage sales, auctions and eBay.

She is survived by her husband Richard Anderson, her daughter Jodi Mallick, Grand Children, Tyler (Heather) Mallick and Jacob (Drake) Strong and great grandchildren, Hadlie, Ezra, Ellis, Charlotte, and Kevin and a circle of close friends and family who loved her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Louise Ferguson and her Brother Kent Ferguson.

In keeping with her wishes, no formal services will be held. In her memory, the family invites you to pour yourself a cup of coffee, catch up on your favorite soap, and say something honest—just the way Lora would have.
