Lola Mae Houdek, age 80 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Lola Mae Sevigny was born September 5, 1934 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Simeon and Clara (Demers) Sevigny. She attended school at St. Aloysius Academy in Oakwood, ND. Lola Mae Sevigny was united in marriage to Raymond Houdek on April 14, 1953 in Oakwood. The couple made their home in Grafton where Lola worked at the Bremer Bank for 34 years, retiring in 1995. Lola was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, St. John's Choir and Altar Society. She served as president of the Altar Society, American Legion Auxiliary and the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. She also was a member of the Business and Professional Women, the Grafton Heritage Doll Club, Unity Hospital Auxiliary, St. John's Quilters and the Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by her siblings: Ida Feltman, Grafton, ND; Doloria Dusek, Grand Forks, ND; Sr. Rose Therese Sevigny, Valley City, ND; Shirley Suda, Grafton, ND; Donald (Diane) Sevigny, Hoven, SD; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Sevigny, Grafton, ND. 35 nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Wilfred, Fabian and Peter and sister, Agnes Campbell, brothers-in-law: Steve Feltman, Lawrence Dusek, Paul Suda and Edmond Campbell and sister-in-law, Marcella Sevigny.
