Lois Mae Peterson

Lois Mae Peterson, age 88 of Larimore, ND and formerly of Park River, ND died peacefully on Monday, October 23, 203 at the Good Samaritan Society of Larimore, with her family by her side.

Lois Mae Stenerson was born January 27, 1934 in Park River, ND to the late Gustav Stenerson and Alma (Odden) Stenerson Loughead.  She was raised in Park River where she attended school. She married her beloved husband of 67 years Lloyd Peterson on June 19, 1953.  Lois and Lloyd made their life in Park River, where she worked for Cenex as a bookkeeper and raised their daughter Sheryl.  After retirement, Lois and Lloyd moved to Grand Forks and then back to McCanna to share their golden years with their daughter and her family.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Thara; grandchildren, and great grandchildren; brothers: Jerry Loughead, Joey (Sandy) Loughead; brother-in-law Larry Iverson and sister-in-law Barb Stenerson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, sisters Marilyn (Woody) Sculthorpe and Joyce Iverson, brother Allan Stenerson, and brother Willard Stenerson.

A graveside service will be on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 12:45 p.m.at Memorial Park Cemetery of Park River. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
