Lisa D. Lambrecht, age 96 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Valley Eldercare Center of Grand Forks. Lisa D. Anderson was born May 22, 1917 in Rock Township of Benson County, ND to Emil and Annie Anderson. She attended rural Plainview School and graduated from Sheyenne High School in 1936. She graduated from Jamestown College in 1938 with a teaching certificate. Following her education, she taught elementary school at Plainview District; Tokio, ND; Oberon, ND; New Rockford and Sheyenne, ND. Lisa was united in marriage to Charles Lambrecht on August 7, 1949 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sheyenne. The couple lived in New Rockford until 1955 when they moved to Grafton and purchased the Coast to Coast Hardware Store. The couple owned and operated the store until retiring in 1983. Charles passed away on February 4, 2005. In 2007, Lisa moved to Grand Forks and in 2008, she moved to Valley Eldercare Center where she has lived since. In retirement, Lisa and Chuck enjoyed travel, especially trips to visit Lisa's family in Sweden. Lisa was a member of Zion English Lutheran Church of Grafton. She provided an example of strong faith and was active with the LWML and church choir. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary. Lisa was devoted to her grandchildren and treasured her time with them. Lisa was an excellent Bridge player and enjoyed friendships in Bridge and Birthday Clubs. She is survived by her son Mark (Vickie) Lambrecht, Grand Forks, ND; three grandchildren: Tom (Kayla), Minot, ND; Jennifer and Brian, both of Fargo, ND; and her brother, Glen (Vivian) Anderson, Bemidji, MN. Four nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Carl and sister Astrid. Funeral services will be Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Zion English Lutheran Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 PM with a prayer service at 5:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton City Cemetery, Grafton, ND in the spring. Memorials are preferred to Zion English Lutheran Church.
