Linden L. Tischman

Linden L. "Bud" Tischman, age 90 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Sunday, April 04, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Linden L. Tischman was born October 29, 1919 in Menomonie, WI the son of the late Alfred and Elsie (Schultz) Tischman. He grew up and attended school there. Following his education he was united in marriage to Rosalind Talaska on October 24, 1938 in Ashland, WI. He served in the United States Navy from July of 1944 to November of 1945. Following his discharge he lived in Chicago, IL and later moved back to Menomonie where he worked as a florist. He then moved to Bemidji, MN and started his own dental lab, where he worked as a dental technician. After several years of retirement and traveling, he moved to Edinburg, ND in the late 1990's. He resided here until October of 2008 when he moved to the Park River Good Samaritan Center. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Davidson American Legion Post of Edinburg, ND. Bud is survived by his children: Douglas, Bemidji, MN; Lynndon Jr., Mountain, ND; Rosemary Denault, Edinburg, ND; five grandchildren: Jamie Tischman, Minneapolis, MN; Barry Tischman, Bemidji, MN; Jessica (Jared) Ellingson, Edinburg, ND; Angie Tischman, Bemidji, MN; Alicia (Bruce) Holmgren, West Berlin, NJ; 8 great grandchildren and brother Richard (Arla) Tischman, Menomonie, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife on Nov. 7, 1986, one brother and three sisters. Memorial services will be Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be Sunday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Military rites will be provided by the Davidson American Legion Post.
